The Ghan railway carriage is the most deluxe room in the Hitching Rail collection. We have gone all out to showcase how elegant this beautiful piece of history can look and feel. 

From the crystal chandler to the polished gold finish to the marble look-a-like bench top this room oozes elegance and class, it also includes an open shower/bath, outdoor fire pit to relax around and bar top seating outside overlooking the rain forest and Tinaroo dam in the distance

The extensive extras list includes a small bottle of wine and locally sourced cheese platter on arrival, engraved wine glass and port decanter, magnesium soak to take your bath to the next level, hot water bottles to keep you warm, embroidered plush bath robes to snuggle into, local and natural soap and body wash, local tea, coffee and sugar, port for a night cap, bamboo linen that is to die for and a visitor book for you to leave your mark on the place. 

This accommodation has everything you need so you don’t need to worry about anything, including a full kitchen with pots and pans, toaster, kettle, microwave, BBQ and utensils, wine glass, bar fridge and small freezer, all linen and towels, and is air-conditioned. We have kept the room as authentic as possible and therefore the doorways are only 500mm wide. Please note this is a retreat to help people reconnect with each other and nature and does not have a TV or wifi, there is phone service
