Loved our stay, such a great escape can’t wait to revisit. The tent had thoughtful touches throughout, a booklet of places to visit close by which had everything we needed (highly recommend Gallos dairy and tea house in Barrine) thanks Brooke and Janet : )

We absolutely loved staying at the Hitching Rail Retreat. Staying in the refurbished train carriage was such a unique experience and one I would highly recommend. The carriage had every amenity you could ever want for and the fresh platter on arrival just made the afternoon relaxing on the balcony so easy. The carriage has been refurbished extremely well and it is obviously a lot of effort has been put into every detail. The room was fresh and clean, the decor was beautiful and the local products added a very cozy touch. The atmosphere and view from the train carriage were breathtaking and I could have easily wiled away a few days exploring the property and lazing on your balcony. We left this stay feeling truly relaxed!!

If you are looking for a quiet retreat and to switch off, this place is ideal. Close to town and plenty to explore locally within a short drive. The cheese platter and wine was a nice touch.
