Can I add a private driver, and how does it work?

Yes – and many guests choose to. For $150 per couple, we can arrange a private driver for one afternoon (1pm to 7pm) so you can fully relax and enjoy the tastings at Eventide Hills Distillery, Mt Uncle Distillery, and Billy Cart Brewery without worrying about the drive. Simply select the driver option when booking in the extras section. It’s a simple way to turn a lovely day into a completely carefree one.

Do we need to organise bookings with the wineries and producers ourselves?

No – that’s all taken care of. As part of this experience, we coordinate the inclusions with our local partners so you can simply arrive and enjoy. All the food platters and vouchers will be waiting in your room or emailed to you before your stay. We’ll discuss with you beforehand when you’d like to book your dinner at Our Place and breakfast at Gillies Cafe to ensure seamless service. All other vouchers can be redeemed in person.

Is this package available year-round?

Yes, the Taste the Tablelands package is available year-round. However, the special introductory rate of $1,525 per couple applies only to stays during April. This is a seasonal collaboration between Hitching Rail Retreat, local producers, and Tourism Tropical North Queensland. Once April bookings are filled, the package will be priced at $2,144 per couple.
